Nextronics-Pragyan

Pragyan, the ISO 9001 and ISO 20121 certified annual International Techno-Managerial Fest of the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, was held from 19th to 23rd February 2026. Comprising a diverse spectrum of events, workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, and guest lectures, the 22nd edition of Pragyan unfolded under the theme “Anachronia,” exploring the intersection of time, innovation, and technological evolution.

Since its inception in 2005, Pragyan has earned a reputation as one of the largest student-run techno-managerial festivals in India. With events spanning multiple technical and managerial clusters, workshops led by reputed industry professionals, and lectures delivered by distinguished global thinkers, Pragyan continues to serve as a dynamic platform for students to showcase ingenuity while fostering collaboration and exchange of ideas among young minds across the country. This edition upheld that legacy with remarkable enthusiasm and participation.

Exhibitions, Sangam, and Ingenium

The Student Center for Innovation in Engineering and Technology (SCIEnT) collaborated with Pragyan to host a two-day long Open House. The event featured an impressive array of student-driven projects representing technical clubs, academic departments, and emerging startups founded by students. In a significant step forward, the organizing team invited investors and venture capitalists, reinforcing a shared ambition to transform promising ideas from early ideation into pre-incubation ventures and ultimately market-ready solutions.

Ingenium, Pragyan’s highly anticipated national-level technical contest, witnessed intense competition among participants from various institutions. The flagship competition emphasized innovation and encouraged young technocrats to present groundbreaking creations and inventions.

Sangam, organized in association with SCIEnT, returned as Pragyan’s flagship hardware hackathon for the technophiles of NIT Trichy.

The ESI Exhibition further enriched the fest experience by presenting cutting-edge technological innovations. Highlights included exhibits from Toyota, Cosmicport, Zerowings, Motocluez, Spantrik and much more.

Events, Workshops, Guest Lectures, and Debate

Pragyan ’26 hosted an extensive lineup of events spanning domains such as management, coding, robotics and several interdisciplinary clusters. With multiple events across 7 clusters, the competitions reflected Pragyan’s commitment to excellence and innovation. Thousands of participants from colleges across India competed across all clusters, making this edition one of the most engaging and competitive yet.

Workshops form the backbone of experiential learning throughout the day. Organizations including Altera, ARM, Grant Thornton, GeeksforGeeks, STMicroelectronics, KPMG, Linux and HPE, Autodesk, Cisco, and Remarkskill delivered immersive sessions, equipping participants with practical insights across domains ranging from semiconductors to enterprise solutions.

The Illuminaire Guest Lecture Series featured an exceptional lineup of speakers from diverse domains. This edition brings together senior leaders from HackerRank, Zenoti, and Amazon, visionary architect from FHD India, and leadership expert Anbarasu Thangavelu. From technology and cybersecurity to history, architecture, and emotional intelligence , ideas that challenge perspectives and spark meaningful conversations were discussed.

Pragyan’s flagship debate event, Crossfire, was conducted alongside the intense 8v1 debate format, The Verdict, bringing together compelling arguments and diverse perspectives. Both of them, centered around social causes, promoted discussions and differing opinions, thus making for an engaging platform for the participants to share their ideas and challenge opinions in a meaningful and effective way.

Social Responsibility and Outreach Initiatives

Since establishing its Social Responsibility wing in 2012, Pragyan has remained committed to community engagement. The fourth edition of Techids was conducted this year, introducing young students to technology and inspiring curiosity through interactive learning experiences. The initiative Bag of Delights continued to support children in government schools by enhancing their learning environments and fostering creativity.

Additionally, Pragyan’s outreach efforts included large-scale collaborative initiatives such as hackathons addressing domains like Blockchain, Environmental Sustainability, and Smart Cities, encouraging socially impactful innovation among students.

Infotainment:

For over two decades, Pragyan has stood as a platform that transcends boundaries, empowering students regardless of background or discipline. With Anachronia as its guiding theme, Pragyan ’26 celebrated the relationship between past innovations and future possibilities, reinforcing its mission to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and technological advancement.

From electrifying fire and light shows to thrilling aerial stunts, experiences that kept the energy at its peak were curated. While keeping the spirit of a Techno-Managerial celebration alive, Pragyan has also fostered a sense of culture and belongingness, making it an essential pillar of a good college life. We had an entertaining sequence of artists like the Unique Crew, Akhil Nair, Flute Boxers and the Laser Man Show. Our highlights of Day 3 were Shradha Mishra and Arivu who set the stage on fire. We also had a surprise set by DJ Ujwal to wrap up the fest.

As Pragyan continues its journey beyond twenty years of excellence, the success of this edition sets the stage for even greater milestones in the future.
