IQM Finland Oy has secured a €50 million financing package from funds managed by BlackRock, aimed at accelerating its global growth and advancing its quantum computing capabilities.

The funding will support the company’s technology roadmap, strengthen research and development efforts, and enable expansion into new international markets. It also enhances IQM’s capital structure by lowering its overall cost of capital while increasing financial flexibility.

The financing comes at a strategic moment for IQM, ahead of its planned merger with Real Asset Acquisition Corp, which is expected to make it the first publicly listed quantum computing company in Europe. The company is preparing to file the necessary regulatory documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as part of the proposed transaction.

CEO and co-founder Jan Goetz stated that the funding will help accelerate the company’s next phase of growth, enabling it to scale its technology vision and expand its market presence. He emphasized IQM’s focus on building open and transparent quantum systems that allow institutions to directly operate and develop long-term quantum capabilities.

IQM has positioned itself as a provider of full-stack superconducting quantum computers, catering to growing enterprise demand for on-premises quantum systems. The company’s strategy includes hardware innovation, cloud integration, and partnerships aimed at supporting the broader adoption of quantum and quantum-AI technologies.

As global interest in quantum computing continues to rise, IQM is focusing on ecosystem development and collaborative innovation to drive industry adoption. Its approach is designed to support researchers, enterprises, and institutions seeking to integrate quantum capabilities into their operations.

With the latest financing, IQM aims to strengthen its leadership in the evolving quantum computing landscape and accelerate progress toward fault-tolerant quantum systems.
