EdgeCortix has secured a new round of strategic investment from Axiro Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd. and MPower Partners, reinforcing its position in the rapidly evolving edge AI and AI inference market. The investment builds on the company’s previously oversubscribed funding round and is aimed at accelerating the development and commercialization of its next-generation AI platforms.
The funding will support EdgeCortix’s continued focus on energy-efficient AI processing technologies, particularly its chiplet-based SAKURA-X platform. Designed to address the increasing demands of generative and agentic AI applications, the platform emphasizes high performance combined with optimized power consumption—an essential factor for edge deployments where energy efficiency is critical.
Axiro Semiconductor, a wholly owned subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, joins the company as a strategic investor. The firm brings expertise in RF, mmWave, and advanced connectivity integrated circuit design, with a growing presence across telecom, satellite communications, and defense sectors. It is also expanding into adjacent domains such as robotics, industrial systems, and AI-driven infrastructure, where the convergence of connectivity and AI is becoming increasingly important.
Dr. Naveen Yanduru, CEO of Axiro Semiconductor, said the investment reflects the company’s focus on next-generation semiconductor and connectivity technologies. He noted that EdgeCortix’s low-power, high-performance AI capabilities complement Axiro’s work in advanced wireless systems, creating opportunities for collaboration across emerging application areas.
MPower Partners participated as a financial investor, further underscoring its commitment to supporting globally relevant deep-tech companies aligned with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. Kathy Matsui, General Partner at MPower Partners, highlighted EdgeCortix’s software-first approach and focus on performance-per-watt as key differentiators in enabling scalable and sustainable AI innovation.
EdgeCortix Founder and CEO Dr. Sakyasingha Dasgupta emphasized that the partnership extends beyond capital infusion. He pointed to Axiro’s strong industrial presence in India and MPower’s global network, particularly in Japan, as strategic advantages for expanding the company’s footprint and accelerating market adoption.
The company plans to leverage these partnerships to drive business development across key global markets while advancing its roadmap for energy-efficient AI infrastructure. As demand for edge AI continues to grow across industries such as telecommunications, robotics, and smart infrastructure, the need for scalable, low-power AI solutions is becoming increasingly critical.
