SiLC Technologies has launched Eyeonic Vista, a new ultra-long-range 4D vision system designed for perimeter security, counter-UAS operations, and critical infrastructure monitoring applications.
The new Eyeonic Vista platform introduces an 8-channel sensing architecture capable of detecting and tracking targets at distances exceeding one kilometer. According to the company, the system combines high-resolution imaging, velocity sensing, and intelligent target analysis within a ruggedized platform intended for complex outdoor environments.
The launch comes as security operators across defense, transportation, and public infrastructure sectors seek improved sensing technologies capable of identifying low-altitude drones, unauthorized vessels, vehicles, and human movement in increasingly congested and visually challenging environments. Small unmanned aerial systems, in particular, have emerged as a growing concern due to their ability to operate at low altitude and blend into cluttered surroundings where conventional radar and optical systems often face detection limitations.
SiLC said Eyeonic Vista addresses these challenges through a combination of long-range spatial sensing, dynamic Region of Interest scaling, and micro-Doppler velocity analysis. The platform is designed to classify and track drones, birds, people, and vehicles even in fog, dust, dense foliage, or low-visibility conditions.
The company noted that conventional radar systems can struggle to accurately classify small or slow-moving targets, while optical-electronic systems are heavily affected by lighting conditions and environmental interference. Eyeonic Vista integrates direct velocity measurement and dual polarization sensing to improve identification accuracy across a range of operating conditions.
According to Mehdi Asghari, the system’s performance is driven by the company’s silicon photonics engine, which integrates multiple laser channels and coherent detectors onto a single chip. He said the 8-channel architecture enables the capture of more data points per target, improving precision imaging in demanding outdoor environments.
The Eyeonic Vista system is intended for deployment across a broad range of security-sensitive environments, including airports, borders, prisons, rail infrastructure, ports, military installations, power stations, stadiums, government buildings, and historical sites. The company also highlighted applications in maritime and coastal monitoring, where long-range detection and classification capabilities are increasingly important.
Among its key specifications, Eyeonic Vista offers an instrumented range exceeding one kilometer, angular resolution as fine as eight millidegrees, adaptive ROI scaling, dual polarization sensing, and immunity to jamming and crosstalk in multi-sensor deployments. The system is also rated IP65 for all-weather operation and is designed to function in varying lighting conditions.
