Orbweaver Strengthens Electronics Data Automation Through Budde Acquisition

The provider of data integration, quoting, and sales automation solutions for the electronics industry, Orbweaver LLC, has acquired Budde Marketing Systems Inc. to expand end-to-end data intelligence, automation, and supply chain orchestration capabilities across the global electronics ecosystem.

The acquisition combines Orbweaver’s real-time supply chain connectivity, product catalog integration, and sales orchestration platform with Budde Marketing’s expertise in point-of-sale (POS) data management and channel performance analytics. Together, the companies aim to deliver a more comprehensive intelligence and execution platform tailored for electronic component manufacturers and distributors.

Founded in 2012, Orbweaver has focused on enterprise-grade technologies that integrate trading partners, unify operational data sources, syndicate product information, and automate quoting and ordering workflows throughout the electronics supply chain. Budde Marketing, established in 1996, has built a longstanding presence in POS reporting and channel intelligence management for manufacturers operating across electronics, industrial, and electrical markets.

The transaction comes as electronics manufacturers and distributors increasingly seek integrated platforms capable of improving operational visibility, data quality, and supply chain responsiveness amid rising complexity across global manufacturing and distribution networks.

According to the companies, the combined platform will provide customers with enhanced visibility across the entire data lifecycle, from channel data acquisition and normalization to real-time supply chain orchestration, RFQ automation, analytics, and sales execution. The integration is also expected to reduce manual processes, improve reporting accuracy, and accelerate business decision-making.

T Christopher Ciesielka described the acquisition as a natural extension of the company’s broader mission to modernize how organizations within the electronics industry connect, transact, and collaborate. He said the combination is intended to address persistent operational and data management challenges while helping customers generate more actionable business insights through automation and advanced analytics.

Michael Budde Jr said integrating Budde Marketing’s experience in POS reporting and data intelligence with Orbweaver’s automation capabilities would enable the development of expanded customer-requested features, including more advanced real-time reporting tools. He emphasized that high-quality and consistent data remains essential for delivering meaningful business intelligence across complex supply chains.

The acquisition was supported by Sundance Growth, which said the transaction reflects growing opportunities to accelerate adoption of API integration, artificial intelligence, and advanced data orchestration technologies across the electronics sector.

Christian Stewart said the partnership positions both companies to drive greater innovation and expand intelligent automation capabilities throughout the industry.

As part of the transaction, Michael Budde Jr. and the Budde Marketing team will join Orbweaver to support AI integration initiatives, accelerate product innovation, and expand customer services. Both companies stated that existing customers will continue receiving uninterrupted support while gaining access to enhanced automation, data visibility, and operational intelligence capabilities.
