Affinitiv Integrates Meta AI Glasses Into Service Inspections

Affinitiv has introduced CapSure, a hands-free vehicle inspection solution that integrates with Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) AI glasses, as dealerships increasingly adopt digital tools to improve service operations and customer engagement.

The new product combines Meta AI glasses with Affinitiv’s Multi-Point Inspection and Tech Video platforms, allowing automotive service technicians to record inspection videos from their point of view while keeping both hands free during vehicle assessments.

Affinitiv said it is among the first software companies selected by Meta to integrate with the AI glasses platform.

The system enables technicians to document recommended repairs, worn components, maintenance requirements and safety issues without using handheld devices such as smartphones or tablets. The recorded videos can then be shared with service advisors and customers as part of the repair approval process.

The company said the technology is intended to improve communication between dealerships and vehicle owners by providing visual evidence of repair recommendations, helping customers better understand maintenance requirements before authorising work.

CapSure also supports vehicle walkarounds conducted by service advisors, allowing them to record pre-existing vehicle conditions and identify repair needs at the start of a service appointment.

“CapSure represents the next step in making the service experience more transparent, more efficient, and more customer-focused,” Chief Executive Officer Sharon Kitzman said in a statement.

She said combining hands-free video capture with digital inspection workflows would help technicians document vehicle conditions more effectively while giving service advisors additional tools to explain recommended repairs.

Digital vehicle inspection platforms have become increasingly common across automotive dealerships as retailers seek to improve operational efficiency, reduce approval times and increase customer confidence through greater transparency during the service process.

Affinitiv said CapSure builds on its broader strategy of helping dealerships modernise fixed operations through software, automation and data-driven customer engagement tools.
