Solo venture capitalist Ozi Amanat’s K2 Global has secured $200 million in capital commitments for investments across artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, compute infrastructure, national security and next-generation healthcare.
The firm plans to deploy the capital through the K2 Global AI Fund, targeting early-stage companies developing technologies across large language models, autonomous systems, humanoid robotics, defence systems, brain-computer interfaces and semiconductor infrastructure.
K2 Global has already built positions in a portfolio of frontier technology companies, including Neuralink, xAI, SpaceX, Shield AI, Tenstorrent, Synchron, Lambda, Agility Robotics and Function Health. Several of these companies operate in areas where AI intersects with physical infrastructure, advanced computing and healthcare.
Amanat said K2 Global is focused on identifying foundational technology platforms that could shape multiple industries over the next decade.
“Artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry, from national security and robotics to healthcare and industrial systems,” said Amanat, founder of K2 Global. “We believe many of the defining companies of the next decade will emerge at the intersection of intelligence, compute, and the physical world.”
The investment strategy reflects a broader shift among venture investors towards technologies that extend AI beyond software. K2 Global’s target sectors include autonomous machines, humanoid robots, defence technologies, advanced semiconductors and computing infrastructure, alongside healthcare applications such as brain-computer interfaces and preventive medicine.
The firm’s investor and partner network includes entrepreneurs, family offices, foundations, institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, banks and strategic operators across the US, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
K2 Global said the new fund will build concentrated positions in companies it considers capable of becoming category leaders rather than spreading capital across a broad portfolio.
“Our objective is to partner with exceptional founders building enduring, category-defining platforms with global impact,” Amanat said.
The firm will continue evaluating opportunities across advanced manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductors, defence technologies and applied sciences. Its investment focus places particular emphasis on technologies that K2 Global believes can strengthen competitiveness in AI, robotics, healthcare and national security.
