BIBS–FF AI Robotics Institute

Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI), a California-based global Embodied AI ecosystem company, has announced a strategic partnership between its FF AI-Robotics division and Boston International Business School (BIBS) to establish the BIBS–FF AI Robotics Institute, a new platform aimed at integrating robotics education, deployment, and data infrastructure in the United States.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed and the launch ceremony held in Omaha during the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting. The companies said the initiative will move forward through definitive agreements, subject to approval by Faraday Future’s Board of Directors.

The Institute is positioned as an industry-driven platform focused on Physical AI and robotics, combining academic frameworks with real-world deployment of robotic systems and large-scale data generation. According to the partners, the goal is not to create a conventional academic institution, but to build what they describe as an infrastructure layer for Physical AI talent, deployment, and data systems.

Faraday Future said the initiative aligns with its broader strategy in Embodied AI, where intelligence is extended from digital environments into physical systems. The company is among the early U.S. developers of both humanoid and quadruped robotic platforms and is building an ecosystem that integrates device hardware, AI models, and decentralized data generation systems.

The Institute is designed to define emerging standards across Physical AI, including talent benchmarks, data training frameworks, deployment protocols, and certification systems for robotics applications.

“Education must evolve alongside industry. This collaboration represents a new model that closely integrates learning, practice, and innovation, and will cultivate truly industry-ready talent for the Physical AI era,” said Pedro Nueno, Co-founder of BIBS.

Liya Rong, Co-founder of BIBS and Founding Co-Dean of the Institute, said the initiative is intended to bridge global academic resources with industrial innovation. “The Institute is not only an educational platform, but also an important bridge connecting global educational resources with industrial innovation,” she said. “We hope this platform will enable more students and institutions to participate in the development of Physical AI.”

Faraday Future said the Institute will treat education as its first application environment, where robotic systems deployed in learning environments continuously generate operational data. This data, the company said, will be used to train next-generation AI models for robotics systems.

“We are entering a new era of Physical AI, where intelligence moves from the digital world into the real world. Education is the first application scenario for our robots,” said Chris Chen, Co-CEO of FF AI-Robotics.

The Institute will also establish a global certification framework covering robot operation, AI system integration, automation design, teleoperation, and maintenance. The partners said this framework is intended to support standardization across the emerging Physical AI industry.

The founding academic and advisory group includes a broad international network of educators, researchers, policymakers, and industry specialists from institutions such as Stanford University, Harvard, Peking University, and the University of Pennsylvania, alongside leaders from AI, healthcare, media, and governance sectors.

The Institute has also issued a global call for partner institutions, including universities, vocational training centers, and technical schools. Partners will gain access to robotics systems, standardized curricula, and industry-linked training and internship pathways.

Faraday Future said the initiative represents a step toward integrating education and industrial robotics development, with the long-term goal of establishing standardized talent and deployment systems for the global Physical AI ecosystem.
