Talon Precision has acquired Baron Machine Company, a third-generation aerospace and defense manufacturer in Laconia, New Hampshire, expanding its precision manufacturing footprint in the U.S. Northeast.
The transaction was completed on Aug. 19, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1957, Baron Machine provides precision manufacturing services that extend beyond conventional machine-shop operations. Its capabilities include CNC milling, turning and grinding, along with in-house welding, metal fabrication and assembly. The integrated model allows customers to source finished components and built-up assemblies from a single supplier.
The company primarily serves aerospace and defense customers, while also maintaining operations across medical, commercial and electronics markets. Its position in regulated industries is supported by an established quality and compliance framework.
Baron Machine is certified to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards, is registered under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and complies with NIST 800-171 cybersecurity requirements. The manufacturer also operates a climate-controlled inspection laboratory and maintains material traceability across its production processes.
For Talon Precision, the acquisition adds manufacturing capacity in a region with a longstanding aerospace and defense manufacturing base. It also brings a business with established capabilities for producing components and assemblies used in applications where quality controls, traceability and cybersecurity requirements are critical.
Baron Machine will continue operating under its existing name, with owner and president Jeremy Baron remaining in the president role following the acquisition.

Talon Precision said it plans to invest in Baron Machine’s operations to support additional growth and enable the manufacturer to pursue more complex and highly regulated programs.

Rios said the company intends to support Baron and its employees through continued investment while maintaining the capabilities and operating practices that have established the manufacturer’s customer base.
The acquisition is part of a broader trend in U.S. precision manufacturing, where aerospace and defense suppliers are seeking greater capacity and technical capabilities amid increasing demand for domestic production. Manufacturers serving these markets must meet stringent requirements covering quality management, cybersecurity, material traceability and production controls.
Kyle Veatch, chief strategy officer of Talon Precision, said the company viewed Baron Machine as an example of U.S. manufacturing capabilities that align with its expansion strategy.
For Baron Machine, the transaction provides access to Talon Precision’s resources while preserving continuity under the existing leadership. For Talon Precision, the deal adds a diversified manufacturing operation with capabilities spanning machining, fabrication, welding and assembly.
The acquisition also gives the combined business an opportunity to serve customers requiring more complex, integrated manufacturing programs. As aerospace and defense companies increasingly seek suppliers capable of delivering complete assemblies rather than individual machined parts, Baron Machine’s broader production capabilities could provide an advantage in competing for such work.
The companies did not disclose financial details of the transaction or specific investment commitments following the acquisition.
