OmniOn Power has appointed Philip Zuk as Senior Vice President and General Manager of its newly formed AI and Data Center business, a move that reflects the company’s focus on supporting the rapidly expanding infrastructure behind artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.

Zuk brings more than 25 years of experience in the global power electronics and semiconductor sectors. His background spans technical leadership, product strategy, and market development, with a particular emphasis on advanced power technologies and large-scale infrastructure applications. At OmniOn, he will be responsible for building and leading the company’s AI and Data Center business unit, which is focused on addressing the growing power density, efficiency, and reliability demands of modern data centers.

The new unit will combine OmniOn’s established capabilities in high-capacity power conversion with solutions tailored for AI-driven workloads. As data centers evolve to support increasingly power-hungry accelerators and processors, the company said it aims to deliver scalable, efficient, and sustainable power architectures that can meet both current and future requirements.

David French, CEO of OmniOn Power, said the appointment comes at a time when power infrastructure has become a critical enabler of AI adoption. He noted that Zuk’s experience strengthens OmniOn’s position as it seeks to design and deliver robust power solutions for next-generation data centers.

Before joining OmniOn, Zuk held senior and executive leadership roles across several power semiconductor companies. At Transphorm, prior to its acquisition by Renesas, he played a role in guiding the company through key milestones, including its initial public offering, acquisition process, and board-level engagements. His earlier experience includes leadership positions at Microsemi, now part of Microchip Technology, Vishay Siliconix, and Transphorm, where he worked across product marketing, technical marketing, and business development.

Zuk’s technical expertise spans silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride power semiconductors. He has also led end-to-end commercialization efforts, from device definition through global deployment, supporting adoption across industrial and data-center markets.

In addition, Zuk founded PCZ Consulting Group, where he advised power electronics and semiconductor companies on go-to-market strategy, positioning, and growth, with a focus on technologies supporting AI infrastructure and advanced data-center power architectures.
