Magna AI, Inc. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Corvit Networks (Pvt.) Ltd. to accelerate the development of sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and capabilities in Pakistan. The agreement establishes a strategic framework to support the country’s national AI transformation across government, enterprise, and academic sectors.
Magna AI, established through a partnership between Trend Micro and Wistron Digital Technology Holding Company, and in collaboration with NVIDIA, brings expertise in AI engineering, infrastructure, and governance. Corvit Networks contributes its extensive nationwide reach and experience in technology training and digital services.
The collaboration comes amid growing recognition of AI as a key driver of economic growth. Industry estimates suggest that AI could contribute up to 5.6% of GDP in economies comparable to Pakistan, potentially generating between $10 billion and $20 billion in economic impact within the country’s projected $60 billion digital economy by 2030. Globally, investment in AI infrastructure is expected to reach $400 billion annually by the end of the decade.
Under the partnership, both organizations will focus on building foundational AI capabilities, including sovereign AI data centers and “AI factories” designed to support large-scale workloads while meeting national data residency and regulatory requirements. These platforms are expected to enable government bodies, public-sector institutions, and enterprises to deploy AI applications securely and at scale.
The initiative will also support the development of next-generation AI use cases across priority sectors. These include predictive intelligence systems, agentic AI solutions, digital twins, and advanced analytics aimed at improving operational efficiency and decision-making.
Security and governance are central to the collaboration, with plans to integrate enterprise-grade capabilities such as model protection, threat analytics, and AI-driven security operations aligned with national cybersecurity frameworks. In parallel, the partnership will deliver end-to-end AI transformation services, helping organizations move from readiness assessments to full-scale implementation.
Workforce development will be another key focus area. The two companies plan to invest in AI academies, certification programs, and executive education initiatives to equip professionals with the skills needed for an AI-driven economy.
Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Moataz BinAli highlighted the importance of AI in shaping national competitiveness, noting that Pakistan is at a pivotal stage in its digital transformation journey. Kashif Ul Haq added that the collaboration aims to strengthen the country’s digital capabilities while preparing the next generation of AI-ready talent.
