Morse Micro, a Wi-Fi HaLow silicon provider, has named Gateworks as the first official partner in its Design House Partner Program, marking an early step in building a broader ecosystem for production-ready Wi-Fi HaLow-based solutions.

The program, launched earlier this year, is designed to accelerate commercialization of Wi-Fi HaLow technology by working with selected design houses, system integrators, and developer groups. It aims to streamline the path from prototype to deployment in industrial and enterprise environments where long-range connectivity and low-power operation are increasingly critical.

Gateworks, a U.S.-based provider of embedded computing solutions, was selected as the inaugural partner based on its experience in rugged system design and its early work in deploying Wi-Fi HaLow in industrial settings. The company focuses on embedded platforms used in environments such as automation, remote monitoring, and infrastructure systems.

Wi-Fi HaLow is positioned as a connectivity standard for Internet of Things (IoT) applications requiring extended range, low power consumption, and direct IP-based communication. The technology is increasingly being explored as an alternative to fragmented connectivity architectures that rely on gateways or protocol translation layers.

Michael De Nil, co-founder and chief executive officer of Morse Micro, said the partnership reflects the intent of the program to bridge silicon innovation with real-world deployment. He noted that Gateworks brings strong execution capabilities in converting chip-level technology into industrial-grade systems. According to him, the collaboration strengthens efforts to accelerate adoption in demanding operating environments.

Gateworks already supports Wi-Fi HaLow development through products such as its GW16167 Wi-Fi HaLow M.2 card and GW11048-7 development kit. These tools are designed to help developers evaluate and build applications across industrial automation, smart energy, transportation systems, and remote sensing use cases.

Kelly Peralta, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Gateworks, said the partnership aligns with the company’s focus on industrial connectivity solutions. He noted that Wi-Fi HaLow is gaining traction in applications where traditional wireless technologies struggle with range, penetration, and reliability requirements. The program, he added, provides a structured framework to help customers move toward production-ready deployments more efficiently.

The Design House Partner Program complements Morse Micro’s existing Approved Module Partner Program. Together, the initiatives are aimed at expanding the ecosystem around Wi-Fi HaLow and accelerating its use across industrial IoT, smart infrastructure, agriculture, utilities, and large-scale commercial environments.
