Vincent Cruvellier Joins Sheba Microsystems as COO

APPOINTED

Sheba Microsystems Inc., a developer of MEMS actuator technology for compact camera systems, has appointed Vincent Cruvellier as Chief Operating Officer. The company said the move marks a new phase focused on scaling operations and advancing industrial readiness.

Sheba Microsystems develops advanced micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) actuators used in compact imaging applications. These technologies are designed for use in automotive cameras, embedded vision systems, and AR/VR/XR devices where space constraints and performance requirements are tightly balanced.

The company said it is moving from customer validation programs toward industrialization and commercialization. The leadership addition is intended to support that transition. Focus areas include supply chain execution, manufacturing readiness, quality systems, and customer program delivery.

Cruvellier brings international semiconductor operations experience across Europe, China, and North America. His background includes roles in fabless semiconductor companies, integrated device manufacturers, automotive supply chains, and industrial manufacturing environments.

Sheba Microsystems said his expertise in scaling production and strengthening operational systems will be critical as the company prepares for higher-volume deployment of its MEMS actuator platform.

“Sheba is entering a new acceleration phase, and Vincent’s appointment is a strong signal of our commitment to operational execution and scalable growth,” said Faez Ba-Tis, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder of Sheba Microsystems.

Ba-Tis added that the company is focused on improving quality maturity, customer delivery, and manufacturing readiness as it advances toward broader commercialization.

Cruvellier will oversee global operations. His mandate includes strengthening supply chain systems and improving industrialization workflows. He will also support program execution with customers and partners.

He said the company is entering a key growth stage. He noted increasing industry interest in MEMS-based imaging systems for next-generation compact camera applications.

“Customers and partners increasingly recognize the value of Sheba’s MEMS actuator technology,” Cruvellier said. He added that the focus will be on execution discipline and scalable manufacturing readiness.

The appointment reflects a wider trend in semiconductor and MEMS companies. Firms moving from development to production are strengthening operational leadership. The goal is to manage complex supply chains and prepare for scale.

Sheba Microsystems said the leadership update strengthens its ability to support automotive imaging, industrial sensing, and immersive technologies. These include AR, VR, and XR applications that require compact, high-performance camera systems.

The company is positioning its MEMS actuator technology as a key enabler for advanced imaging systems. These systems are designed for environments where precision, size constraints, and reliability are critical.
