Smart home technology company Aqara has unveiled a new range of indoor and outdoor lighting products alongside a community platform for smart-space creators at IFA 2026, as the company expands its focus on connected environments and AI-driven home automation.
The new portfolio includes the Floor Lamp T1, LED Downlight T2, LED Strip T2, Outdoor String Lights H1 and Permanent Outdoor Lights H1. Aqara is demonstrating the products at Booth #157, Hall 1.2 in Berlin.
The company said the new lighting range is designed to work with its existing ecosystem of sensors, switches and hubs. The products support Thread and Zigbee connectivity and are Matter-enabled, allowing them to integrate with major smart home platforms including Apple Home, Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and Homey.
Aqara is also showcasing how its lighting products can operate as part of broader automated home scenarios rather than as standalone connected devices. Its IFA booth features a constructed living space where visitors can experience lighting responses triggered by presence, routines and environmental conditions.
The approach reflects the company’s broader push towards what it describes as spatial intelligence, in which connected devices can respond automatically to how people use different spaces.
Lighting Portfolio Expands
The Aqara Floor Lamp T1 is designed to provide indirect illumination through a side-emitting configuration. The 1,420-mm lamp uses a 16-bit, five-channel chip and includes 18 individually controllable zones. It supports a tunable white range of 2,000K to 9,000K and brightness of up to 1,000 lumens.
When connected to Aqara sensors and switches, the lamp can automatically adjust lighting based on activity and routines. The company positions the product for applications ranging from everyday illumination to gaming and entertainment.
The LED Downlight T2 targets installations where ceiling space is limited. Its ultra-thin design is intended to support retrofits and low-ceiling applications. The RGB CCT version provides a 2,000K–9,000K range and up to 16 million colours, while the CCT version focuses on everyday lighting with brightness reaching 1,200 lumens.
Both versions include power-off memory, allowing the light to restore its previous state after a power interruption.
The LED Strip T2 is designed for applications such as under-cabinet lighting, shelving and other confined spaces. It features 108 LEDs per metre and uses a 16-bit, five-channel chip. The product offers 18 independently controllable zones every three metres and supports colour gradients and music-synchronised effects.
Aqara is also integrating natural-language scene creation into the Strip T2 through its Aqara Home app. Users can describe a desired lighting mood, with the system generating a corresponding scene.
For outdoor applications, the Outdoor String Lights H1 provides individually controllable lighting zones and a colour-temperature range of 2,000K to 9,000K. The lights can be configured to respond to time, environmental conditions and triggers from other Aqara devices.
The company said its AI-powered Gen-Scene feature can allow users to describe an outdoor scenario and generate a coordinated lighting scene across connected zones.
The Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 is aimed at year-round exterior installations. The system can be installed permanently and configured for different occasions through presets. Its LEDs can be controlled independently, while the system is extendable and cuttable to accommodate different rooflines.
Aqara Builds Creator Community
Alongside the hardware, Aqara is introducing Aqara Builder, a global content-sharing and community platform intended for smart-space creators and enthusiasts.
The platform is designed to give users and experts a place to share ideas, discuss smart home configurations and explore ways to enhance connected spaces.
Aqara’s latest announcements come as interoperability and automation become increasingly important in the smart home market. Matter, Thread and Zigbee support can allow connected lighting to operate across multiple ecosystems, while sensor-based automation can reduce reliance on manual controls.
At IFA 2026, Aqara is using its integrated living-space demonstration to highlight this shift, showing how lighting, sensors, switches and hubs can work together in response to people and their surroundings.
