Chiplytics Raises $4.5M to Strengthen U.S. Electronics Supply Chain

Chiplytics has raised $4.5 million in funding to expand its microelectronics inspection capabilities and address supply-chain risks facing U.S. electronics manufacturers.

The round was led by Scout Ventures and Waypoint Ventures and coincides with the opening of a new inspection laboratory in Bellport, New York. The financing also includes an Air Force Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI) award to advance Chiplytics’ inspection technology.

The company is targeting a persistent problem in electronics manufacturing: limited access to critical components can push manufacturers toward independent distributors, where concerns over counterfeit, noncompliant or improperly documented parts can add another layer of risk.

Inspection Moves Closer to Distribution

Chiplytics’ Verified by Chiplytics platform is designed to combine component inspection, procurement and documentation through a single workflow. The company provides inspection of individual components, transparent pricing and traceable test results, while its platform manages testing, reporting and compliance.

The new laboratory will operate inside Quality King’s 600,000-square-foot flagship distribution center in Bellport. It supports the company’s QK Special Services (QKSS) division, which focuses on supply-chain resiliency and specialized component services.

The facility combines electrical testing technology from Sandia National Laboratories with automated visual inspection and methods aligned with AS6171, a standard used for detecting counterfeit and suspect electronic components.

“Chiplytics closes a critical gap for our customers when parts are hard to source,” said Justin Feig, CEO of QKSS. He said locating the laboratory within the distribution center creates a single channel for sourcing, verification and delivery.

Funding to Expand Testing Capacity

Chiplytics co-founder Stephen DiBartolomeo said the company provides customers with upfront visibility into component costs and inspection fees before using its technology to verify and document parts.

The funding will support the Bellport laboratory buildout and hiring across testing and engineering functions. Additional investors include QKSS, Industrious Ventures, Interwoven Ventures, Seattle Alliance of Angels and Cornell University’s Red Bear Angels.
