Micro-Precision Technologies Inc. (MPT), a manufacturer of complex microelectronics, has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 after receiving a perfect score of 110 out of 110 in an assessment conducted by a Certified Third-Party Assessor Organization.
The certification strengthens MPT’s ability to support aerospace, defense and government programs that require secure handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
CMMC Level 2 is designed to assess whether defense contractors have implemented security practices aligned with established cybersecurity requirements for protecting sensitive government information. The certification is becoming increasingly important for companies seeking to participate in U.S. Department of Defense supply chains.
“Achieving CMMC L2 compliance is a major milestone for MPT and underscores our commitment to providing our customers with secure and safe methods of handling CUI in accordance with requirements of the Department of Defense,” said Martin Stensgaard, CEO of MPT.
The certification comes as MPT expands its manufacturing capabilities and customer base. In November 2025, the company acquired nearby Stellar Manufacturing, adding printed circuit board and microelectromechanical systems assembly capabilities aimed at mid- to high-volume production.
MPT has also relocated to a new 20,000-square-foot manufacturing facility equipped with upgraded production equipment and a clean room.
The company said its CMMC certification is intended to provide a foundation for continued growth in aerospace, defense and related markets, where cybersecurity requirements increasingly extend throughout the manufacturing supply chain.
For smaller and specialized defense suppliers, meeting cybersecurity standards has become a key consideration as the Pentagon strengthens requirements for contractors handling sensitive information. MPT’s perfect assessment score provides an external validation of its current controls as it expands its manufacturing footprin
