Precision IO Group will showcase new artificial intelligence capabilities and imaging-system integration for its Epione robotic platform at the 2026 annual congress of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) in Copenhagen from September 5 to 9.

The company will demonstrate the updated platform at Booth D39, including a new AI-based tumor segmentation tool and compatibility with GE HealthCare’s Allia Moveo INTERACT Touch panel.

Epione is an AI- and robotic-assisted platform designed for percutaneous ablation procedures. It combines treatment planning, targeting, needle delivery and confirmation within a single workflow and is used for abdominal, chest and musculoskeletal tumors and lesions. The platform can also support bone consolidation procedures.

One of the features being introduced at CIRSE is Smart Seg AI, a software tool based on deep-learning algorithms trained using thousands of CT scan images. The system is designed to improve the segmentation of liver tumors during procedure planning.

Precision IO will also demonstrate Epione’s compatibility with the Allia Moveo INTERACT Touch panel, developed in collaboration with GE HealthCare (NYSE: GEHC). The integration is designed to combine 3D imaging, treatment planning and robotic needle guidance within a coordinated workflow.

The companies said the setup is intended to help physicians visualize treatment targets and guide needle placement during complex percutaneous procedures.

The integration also expands the mobility of the Epione platform by enabling compatibility with a newer generation of angiography systems.

“Our collaboration with GE HealthCare reflects a shared commitment to innovation and to advancing the future of image-guided interventions,” said Kurt Azarbarzin, CEO of Precision IO Group, the parent company of Quantum Surgical.

Precision IO Group is the parent company of NeuWave Medical and Quantum Surgical. The company’s appearance at CIRSE comes as image-guided interventions increasingly incorporate AI-assisted planning, robotics and advanced imaging to improve procedural precision.
