Tigo Begins European Rollout of GO Battery ESS

GO Batteries

Tigo Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: TYGO) has begun commercial shipments of its GO Battery energy storage system in Europe, marking the rollout of its GO Optimized Energy Storage System (ESS) for the residential market.

The company said the shipments fulfill preorder commitments made when the product was introduced in April 2026. Tigo will also showcase the system at Intersolar Europe 2026, which will take place from June 23 to 25 in Munich, Germany.

The GO Battery is designed for residential solar and storage applications. It uses a modular architecture based on 3.68kWh battery units and can be configured from 7.3kWh to 47.9kWh. The design allows installers to size systems for a range of residential energy needs, from apartments to larger homes.

According to Tigo, the battery is compatible with all of its inverters sold in Europe. It supports both single-phase and three-phase installations and can operate in temperatures as low as -30°C.

The system uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry and carries an IP65 rating for indoor and outdoor installations. Tigo said the product complies with European grid and safety standards, including VDE-AR-E2510, CEI 0-21, CE certification, and IEC 62619.

The GO Battery is part of the company’s broader GO Optimized ESS platform. The system integrates battery storage with the Tigo EI Inverter, TS4 Flex module-level power electronics products, the GO EV Charger, GO Junction for heat pump integration, and the Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) platform.

Through the EI platform, installers can access remote diagnostics and unit-level monitoring. The company said these features can help simplify system management and reduce service visits.

Weiss-Blau GmbH, a Germany-based member of the Tigo Installer Loyalty Program, is among the first companies deploying the system in the European residential market.

“As a participant in the Tigo Installer Loyalty Program, we’ve had the opportunity to work closely with the Tigo team as the GO Optimized ESS entered the European market,” said Georg Kreitmair, Managing Director of Weiss-Blau GmbH.

To support deployment, Tigo offers its Green Glove program, which includes system design reviews, installation assistance, and direct technical support. Installers can also access training through Tigo Academy and participate in the company’s Installer Loyalty Program.

“It is great to see solar installers in Europe embrace the new GO Optimized ESS,” said Jing Tian, Chief Growth and Revenue Officer at Tigo.
